One of My First Travel Journals — Virgin Islands

About a week ago I got a pleasant surprise when a high school classmate connected with me on FB.  I always thought she was one of the smartest people I have know and that was confirmed once again this week. Why? Because she is my age, retired, and sailing around the world in a Catamaran. She has figured out, with husband, how to live life to the fullest and that is darn smart.

That set off a switch and sent me to digging through my many sketchbooks until I found one of my very first travel journals. We spent some time on a french made, mono hull sail boat with some friends in the Virgin Islands a few years back. Here are some entries from that Trip.

My guess is that my classmate/friend is keeping a journal too and I would love to read it some day.
